Introduction to Waring Blenders

The Waring Blender is a familiar item of laboratory equipment today, as it has been in biology and food laboratories since the 1930s. The Waring blender's unique design features and production continuity have made it a standard item. The blades rotate at up to 24,000 rpm, driven directly by the motor. The absence of gearing ensures reliability and consistency of action; generally the drive stud at the top of the motor unit is the only part to wear significantly, but it is inexpensive to replace. The cloverleaf container design ensures efficient and consistent processing. The effectiveness of a blender depends on the combination of the blade action and the container. Where different containers are used, or a hand held blender is used in different positions in a container, the result will be inconsistent. The high power output of the motor prevents overloading, which is the cause of early failure in less heavy duty equipment. The Waring Commercial blender should not be confused with domestic or catering equipment which, while excellent for their intended purpose cannot stand up to intensive laboratory use. The expanding range of containers and motor units now makes the Waring Blender the most versatile laboratory blender, mixer or homogeniser.  By utilising the correct adapter it is possible to use a wide range of containers on blender motor base units. The 21/AD1 adapter allows all 1-litre, mini and Eberbach containers to be used on the powerful 4-litre Waring blender motor base unit. By utilising the 21/AD2 adaptor, all 1-litre, mini and Eberbach containers can be used on the Waring 2-litre motor base unit

Waring Blender Mini Containers Waring Mini Containers 21/MC1, 21/MC2, 21/MC3:This range of mini containers can be used directly on 1-litre blender motor base units, or on the 2-litre blender base if the 21/AD2 adaptor is used and on the 4-litre blender bases if the 21/AD1 adapter is used. They are manufactured from stainless steel and supplied complete with a standard blending assembly and chemical resistant snap-fit lid.  Waring 21/SS110 Mini Pulveriser Container: The Waring Mini Pulveriser Container is suitable for dry grinding of tablets and other friable materials. It has a specially configured blending assembly with blades which sweep the bottom of the container, thus it is suitable for processing very small amounts of material. The working capacity of the container is from 10 to 75g, depending on the material being processed. Click here for 1-litre accessories specification

Waring 21/BHL240 Hazardous Location Blender: This totally enclosed base unit is designed to prevent the electrical arcing and heat generated within the motor housing during normal operations from igniting ambient atmospheres in Class 1, Group D hazardous locations. The totally enclosed, single phase, single-speed universal motor is housed within an aluminium casing and is suitable for use on 240v, 50/60Hz supply. It requires a 21/BHLSW flameproof switch and a 21/HL515 stainless steel container. This 1-litre container is supplied complete with a stainless steel lid and a blending assembly.  Click here for specification
