For rapid batchwise ultra fine grinding down to colloidal fineness of hard to soft materials dry or in suspension. Mixing and homogenising of emulsions and pastes. Suitable for hard, medium hard, soft, brittle, tough, fibrous and temperature sensitive materials.

Grinding bowls available in sizes of: 500ml, 250ml, 80ml. Balls available in diameters of 10mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm. 

Method of operation:  The material sample is primarily crushed by the high-energy impact of grinding balls and in part by friction between the balls and the wall of the grinding bowl.   Simultaneous grinding in up to 8 small or 4 large grinding bowls is possible.  Equipment:   The Planetary Mill "pulverisette 5" is equipped with 4 bowl fasteners and "safe lock" clamping.  Grinding bowls and balls are available in various materials and must be ordered as accessories.
